I have completed my Honours in Biokinetics with distinction and Honours in Sport Science at the University of Pretoria, obtaining the BASA Biokinetics Association Award for best student in Biokinetics. I also had the opportunity to present my Honours research thesis, titled ‘The prevalence of supplement intake among gymnasium attendees in Pretoria’, at the Life Through Movement International Conference in 2016, which will soon be published. I have a passion for working with athletes, having assisted in the rehabilitation and conditioning of South African Olympic and high performance athletes. I aim to improve the quality of life for all patients with orthopedic injuries and chronic diseases. I am eager to demonstrate my knowledge and skills to prove that Biokinetics can help clients improve their physical well-being and quality of life through movement.

I’m Rochelle Coomber
Having been an artistic gymnast for a great portion of my life, it instilled my passion and interest for movement and exercise. I completed my Honours degree in Biokinetics in 2016, at the University of Pretoria. I also obtained my BASI Pilates Instructor Certificate in 2015. I want to encourage others to find a passion in movement and exercise, and teach individuals the vast amount of benefits exercise provides. I enjoy applying the knowledge that I have learnt throughout my studies and through my years of training, to assist people using exercise. I am focused in both rehabilitation and body conditioning to help prevent injuries and improve performance. I am particularly interested in the rehabilitation of orthopaedic injuries to optimise the patient’s quality of life after injury.
